Couple's Spectacular Engagement Photo Fail Goes Viral

When you get engaged, some couples like to snap a photo of the moment in all its raw beauty. There could be tears, running makeup, ordinary clothes or a plain landscape, but it's the thought that counts.
Other couples like to wait a little bit to jazz it up a bit and make the occasion look extra special.
That's what Alyssa Snodsmith and Collin Hewett did after they got engaged.

After dating for three and a half years, Collin got down on one knee and asked whether Alyssa would spend the rest of her life with him.
Afterwards, they decided to have a bit of a photoshoot to celebrate the momentous occasion.
The internet is filled with loads of different engagement or proposal pictures, however the happy couple settled on a picture taken by taken in Bend, Oregon, in October last year by photographer Brianna Bender.
Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Alyssa said: "We just thought it was fun. It kinda just matches us. We just like to have fun."

So they enlisted the help of their photographer friend, Chandler Lefever, and headed to a nice spot in Naperville, Illinois to take some loved up photos.
It looked pretty easy to replicate the photo they found on the internet: just sit on a rug, look pretty and pour some champagne in your partner's mouth. Simples.
Well...not so much.
"Well, we found the right angle, but I didn't find the right angle with the bottle," Colin told Buzzfeed News.
"I was super hesitant the whole way and then it started to just dribble out the end. So I kind of over-adjusted."

"We were dying laughing," Alyssa added. "Our photographer fell on his butt because he was laughing so hard. He managed to still snap pictures of us!"
Thankfully, she had brought a second outfit, meaning they could dump the champagne soaked top and opt for something a little less wet.
They eventually got the shot they wanted, however, just for a laugh, they uploaded the fail photo on Twitter, where it quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of likes.
So when you're preparing for your photo that looks a little bit like this, maybe it's a good idea to test it out a few times so that your partner doesn't end up with a faceful of bubbly.
Although, it has made for a hilarious set of photographs, so never say never.
