This Christmas will be strange for all of us, but even more so for Mohammad Hussain - namely because he is having one at all.

He grew up in a Muslim family that doesn't celebrate Christmas, but due to the pandemic, he isn't going home this year. As such, he is experiencing his first ever Christmas with his flatmates, and he decided to share a list of observations on Twitter.

The thread has since amassed tens of thousands of likes and retweets, and you can check it out here:

What a journey.

Mohammad concluded: "To wrap things up I want to applaud longtime Christmas celebrators. This is a lot of work and very tiring.

"I will say I am having a very pleasant time. I am learning that I enjoy Christmas music and gift purchasing. I am also learning that I do not enjoy peppermint."

Every day's a school day, eh?
