A TikTok user has posted an ingenious way to close a packet of crisps so the rest don't go stale. Have a look:

It goes without saying that nobody wants to eat stale crisps, but if you're the kind of person who has the self control to only eat part of a bag, then this trick might come in handy for you.

Paulio from Melbourne, Australia posted the video, writing: "Seal your chips [how Australians refer to crisps] in 3 easy steps."

He says: "Here's how to fold your chips so they never go stale.

"Fold the corners down, roll it towards you, tuck those little flaps over that you've made, give it a little squeeze and your chips don't come undone."

The video must have struck a chord with some people, because at the moment it's got more than 19,000 views.

You might have seen this before, but many people haven't.

Replying to the video, one person wrote: "Mate you're living in 2040."

Another said: "I bought all this Tupperware for nothing!"

A third, who is more on my level, said: "Nah... I just eat them all."

Another who clearly wished they'd learned of the hack sooner wrote: "Ohhh so that's how my housemate used to fold them. Wish I knew this so I could pinch some and roll it back up so he didn't know."

If you're looking for similar tricks to make your life that bit better, one guy recently came up with a clever cooking hack to make garlic bread.

Twitter user @nefyn92 shared a photo of a couple of chicken kievs sat atop two slices of bread, with the caption: "Life hack - put bread under kievs to capture garlic butter leakage and make garlic bread."

Oh and in case you're wondering if all that time in the oven will completely cremate your bread, our man here says it does not, explaining: "This was after 20 minutes. I guess because it's in an oven and not a grill it doesn't burn."

The hack racked up more than 5,000 likes and was flooded with comments from people praising him for introducing them to the tip - someone has even called for a knighthood for the fella.

One person replied: "This is genius; garlic butter leakage is a travesty of our time."

Another asked: "I'm 45 years old. Why have you waited until now to deliver this life changer? Where have you been?"
