A Wendy's worker quit her job in style by climbing out of the drive-thru window.

Maria Kukulak, from Chicago, Illinois, filmed her unorthodox exit from the restaurant and shared it on TikTok, where it has been viewed more than 2.7 million times.

In the video, the 18-year-old explains she is reluctant to quit as she enjoys her work, but she has found a new job.

She decided to make a dramatic exit after a customer apparently said her manager had described her as 'a lost cause'.

Proving she is perhaps more of a loose cannon than a lost cause, Maria can be seen in the video saying, 'Hey John, I quit. I'm not a lost cause and I quit, goodbye,' before climbing out of the drive-thru window.

A voice - presumably John's - can then be heard saying, 'Maria, stop. Are you f***ing kidding me?' as she shuts the window behind her and runs away giggling.

As if she wasn't exhilarated enough by her climb-thru resignation, Maria then had the additional thrill of having her video shared by Will Smith. The Fresh Prince posted the video on Instagram with the caption 'She took her job to-go' and it has been viewed more than 5.2 million times.

Maria now has lots of admirers across the globe.

Judging by the comments, it seems people have a lot of time for her dramatic exit.

One person said: "Yesssss 'I'm not a lost cause and I quit. Goodbye' YESS BABY!"

Another said: "She made it clear 'I quit. And I am NOT a lost cause.' You told them!"

A third added: "Good for her!!! Wish more people would know their worth, value themselves and stand up for themselves as much as she did right here!! Love this."

What's more, it seems the popularity of Maria's video could help her to achieve her dream of becoming a YouTuber.

Posting on her channel, she said: "My TikTok went viral and I've always been wanting to be a YouTuber since I was little so my dreams are coming true thanks to god. Please subscribe for more funny videos and pranks."

Yes, praise be to God and his supreme viral trend determining.
