Footage has emerged that shows a man who was about to win £100 for hanging from a bar for 100 seconds getting pulled down by the person running the challenge.

We all know the trick, right? The challenge is set down to simply hang from a bar for 100 seconds to win £100.

In this instance, it cost £10 to enter, but if you're confident in your grip strength and your ability to endure the time hanging from a bar, it's got to be easy right?

Of course, that's how they get you. Very rarely does anyone win.

Usually, that's because the contestant lets go, as the bar is dodgy and 100 seconds is actually quite a while, but on this occasion the proprietor intervened and started pinching and grabbing the man's leg.

Everything was going OK.

When the hanging bloke aimed a kick out at him, things turned ugly.

The man was dragged down from the bar, then there was a bit of a square off, during which another man - presumably also involved in the ruse - stepped in to shepherd the angered contestant away.

The incident appears to have taken place in Stratford, East London, and was shared on TikTok by user @allandude, who wrote: "What a scam."

The contestant in the video later recorded a duet explaining what happened.

User @omermajid said: "Everybody wants to know the full story of what happened.

"Basically, I tried to win £100 by paying the guy £10.

Then, things started to go wrong.

"I almost won, actually, and then when I was getting towards winning he started to touch me and stuff.

"I don't get angry at first, I mean, I do but I was holding it in, eventually he tries it again I kick him, then it gets a bit aggressive, then he pulls me down, and then I lose my £10 and the game just goes on."

It certainly does look like the man is attempting to stop him winning the £100 from the video.

Luckily, it's not a problem that most of us have, because many of us couldn't hold up our own body weight for 10 seconds, let alone 100.
