An Aldi shopper was left baffled after she opened up her tin of Corale baked beans, only to find it completely bean-free and instead filled with just tomato sauce.

Judi Chamberlain picked up a tin of the 29p beans in her local supermarket but somehow managed to get her hands on one that contained absolutely no beans.

The 47-year-old, from Aylsham in Norfolk, shared images of her unusual find online, writing: "Not a single bean in my tin!"

But many social media users were left feeling 'jealous' of Judi's tin, which contained nothing but tomato sauce, with one person writing: "I only have beans for the juice.

"Would have been a bonus for me."

Another commented: "I don't understand why they don't just sell the juice!"

One user replied: "I wish they just did beans sauce as I'm not too keen on beans."

While a fourth said: "That's my dream! I love the bean sauce but don't like beans!"

Another person wrote: "Bean juice, omg yes please."

Sadly for those people, Judi has since thrown the tin and its contents away.

She said: "I'm not annoyed. We saw the funny side.

"However, if I'd had have been struggling to put food on the table it may have been different. I threw [the tin] out."

A spokesperson for Aldi said: "We're sorry this product didn't meet our usual high standards.

"Customers can return any product they are not satisfied with to their nearest store for a full refund."

For those of you who are partial to the odd tin of baked beans, you may be interested to learn that storing them upside means you'll be able to pour them out much easier.

A TikTok user shared the tip, which stops the beans from getting stuck at the bottom of the can - assuming your can isn't like Judi's and actually contains beans, of course.

The @sockformation account, owned by a man called Tim, posted a clip that shows a tin of beans - shockingly - placed upside down in his cupboard, before cutting to a scene where they pour easily out into a saucepan.

Over the top of the clip he has written: "Always store beans upside down and you'll never have to scrape them from the bottom again."

Fellow TikTok users were delighted with the idea.

"What?? Just seen this now. This could be a game changer to all tinned foods in our home," wrote one person.

Another agreed, writing: "And you will not get sauce splash back either."

A third person added: "100% it is the greatest hack ever."
