It can't just be me that thinks that if we were to discover alien-life, it would be pretty soon.
Just a few months ago, two alleged 'non-humans' were presented at Mexico’s first public congressional hearing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), also known as UFOs.
And now, in a post shared on Reddit yesterday (14 October), a mother in Texas has captured the most bizarre 'UFO' footage.
The person who shared the video said: "Idk how to feel about this video. My mom sent me this just an hour ago. This is definitely not a a man made aircraft. "The way it floats there and shoots a circular wave of something, just before flying away."
I mean it really is bizarre, and some viewers don't know what they are seeing either.
"Saw this in Kansas last night... freaked me out for a bit," one person said.
Another added: "Dude. I swear to you, my girlfriend and I were in North Texas yesterday driving to our hunting lease. Saw the same exact thing in between Guthrie and Paducah on 83. What in the worlddddd.
"This is exactly what I described."
And a third said: "I saw this last night too. Glad I'm not crazy or alone."
However, most of the comments section were adamant they knew what was going on, as one person said: "Its 100 percent a stage separation during a rocket launch.
"There are many videos around showing an identical phenomenon."
"Rocket launch we see it all the time in Florida," a second responded.
And another person linked an article to the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch, which had happened at 6:30 CST.
After reading the comments, the person who posted the video accepted the probable outcome, adding: "I appreciate those who kept it cool and corrected me in an appropriate manner.
"Everyone else, I hope you get a hug today cause ya obviously need one."
This comes after lawmakers in US Congress heard first-hand accounts of unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings from former members of the military, which took place in a hearing to explore what the US Government knows about the existence of UFOs.
Retired Major David Grusch told Congress in July that the US government had allegedly covered evidence of a 'non-human' craft from Congress and he filed a formal whistleblower complaint alleging that he received retaliation for confidential disclosing this to the Intelligence Community Inspector General.
The Pentagon has denied Mr Grusch’s claims of a cover-up.
When asked: “Do you believe that our government is in possession of UAPs?” the retired major was adamant in his response.
He said: "Absolutely, based on interviewing over 40 witnesses over four years.
"I know the exact locations."
Grusch also claimed that the UAP task force director asked him to identify 'all special access programmes and controlled access programmes we needed to satisfy our congressionally mandated mission'.
“As I've stated publicly already in my NewsNation interview, biologics came with some of these recoveries,” he said.
In a statement, Defence Department spokeswoman Sue Gough said investigators have not discovered 'any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programmes regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extra-terrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently'.
"We have not seen anything, and we’re still very early on, that would lead us to believe that any of the objects that we have seen are of alien origin," said Ronald Moultrie, the undersecretary of defence for intelligence and security.
