In the bible of classic memes and great viral clips, there are pages and pages of moments that will just never get old.

And in among them just has to be the ‘Why you coming fast’ guy. I know, I know, that may have totally slipped your mind but the famous video still gets quoted to this day.

Going viral back in 2017, Ferdi earned the nickname when he was crashed into by a cyclist when he was working on a car. And obviously, the mechanic was understandably pretty p**sed off as he ‘hit his head on the car’.

But now, after his short-lived fame from the heavily viewed YouTube clip was followed by a sad story, he has gone down a very different new career path.

Well, in some ways different, and in some ways part of the similar world. But let’s go back to the beginning of the original ‘Why you coming fast’ video.

In the clip, the cyclist appeared to have been coming around the corner of the pavement with Ferdi knelt at a kerb attending to a car wheel.

The rider than clipped the wall and crashed straight into the bloke, who quickly reacting with his hand holding his head.

He began to shout and question the cyclist of course leading to the asking of: “Why you f**king coming fast?”

Once that video started to do numbers around the world, the viral star’s friend’s son, Snatchy, agreed to manage him with the idea that people wanted to meet him at events.

He’d get between £200 and £700 for each night while his manager took a cut - but Ferdi said that he repeatedly asked to sign a contract.

“I asked him a few times but I couldn't get the right answer,” he said previously.

Brand deals even came in but Ferdi said he was ripped off as he told the Podghost podcast: “I should be a millionaire. I wasted two years when I could've gone to work.

“I lost money actually because nobody wants to give me a job. They think I'm a millionaire... they think I'm lying to them or taking the p**s.”

He tried to carry on with that viral fame but eventually ended up working as a delivery driver.

However, earlier this month, Ferdi revealed he had began his latest career move: reviewing food.

It’s something he’s been building up to for a short while as he asked back in March for those wanting him ‘to review their food whether it’s a take away, restaurant, desserts etc’ to DM him.

‘Ferdi Eats’ is set to be the name of his new Instagram just for these food reviews as he said on 12 May: “I’m gonna make a new episode about Pakistani foods, Somalian, Turkish cuisine. Indian, English cuisine - too many things.

“Make sure you watch it… stay - don’t go anywhere.”
