People have got a lot to say about Elon Musk's table manners - or lack thereof - after a video of him playing with his cutlery went viral.

Footage of the SpaceX boss, 53, fiddling around with a fork and two spoons at a dinner party while sitting next to Donald Trump has been circulating on social media.

Musk is said to have been attending a gathering hosted by the US President at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, when he showed off his hand-eye coordination.

Take a look at this:

Musk was seen sitting alongside the commander-in-chief, who was engaged in conversation with another man, as well as the mother of four of his children and director of Neuralink, Shivon Zilis.

But neither of these appeared to be that impressed by the Tesla CEO's balancing act in the video which was reportedly taken on 15 March.

Still, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt seemed to be quite amused by Musk's stunt in another clip which captured his capabilities with cutlery from the dinner party.

The video shows Musk playing around with some silverware which he expertly balances on the tip of his finger.

Most people who saw the clip seemed to be waiting for someone to swat his hands and tell him: "Not at the dinner table!"

But Musk's mid-dinner entertainment went ahead - and people have had a lot to say about it online.

One person wrote: "Ah yes. Peak 5 year old behaviour."

Another added: "Engineer dinner table entertainment."

A third wrote: "I did this s**t when I was 6 for attention, thinking I was a god damn genius. This man is over 50."

A fourth wrote: "Now that’s some next-level multitasking! Balancing cutlery like it’s a physics demo, all while talking policy with Trump, only Elon could make dinner look like a TED Talk and a magic show in one."

And a fifth said: "We all feel this because we were all once children at the dinner table crafting silverware balancing art followed by looking around for approval of said skills."

Musk himself later chimed in the conversation on X to clarify exactly what cutlery he was playing around with.

He responded: "A fork and two spoons balanced on the tip of my finger."

Then again, considering that a seat at Trump's dinner required a '$1 million contribution per guest', according to the Daily Mail, Musk may have wanted to get his money's worth by cavorting with the cutlery.
