Marvel fans are buzzing about the new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home as the movie gets set to appear on the big screen later this year.

Tom Holland, who has been voted the best Spider-Man by fans, reprises his role in the upcoming superhero movie, which is said to follow on from Avengers Endgame.

Spider-Man: No Way Home release date

The threequel is due to be released in the UK on 17th December 2021 and it will be out in cinemas only, unlike some of the Marvel films released this year which were made available to premier pass holders at the same time.

It's one of four Marvel movies to come out in 2021, alongside Black Widow, Shang-Chi and The Eternals, which certainly makes up for a year of no releases due to Covid-19.

It comes four years after the last Spider-Man film.

The new trailer contains some serious surprises, and some familiar faces set to return to the Spider-Man world this December.

You can watch it in the video player below.

Spider-Man: No Way Home cast

Alongside Tom Holland, we can expect to see the return of Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Peter Parker's BFF Ned, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Strange, who we last saw in Avengers: Endgame.

Cumberbatch is also gearing up for his solo movie - Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness - which is due out in 2022.

Some of the other confirmed cast members are Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx reprising his role as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Tony Revolori will also be returning as Flash Thompson - who, ironically, loves Spider-Man but constantly belittles Peter Parker.

Hannibal Buress - aka Coach Wilson - confirmed his return for Spiderman three when he posted some on-set photos, as is the same for JB Smoove who plays Peter Parker's teacher, Julius Dell.

William Dafoe, who plays Green Goblin, was rumoured to be the main villain in the latest Spidey film, and we now know that to be true.

And although Ryan Reynolds' dream to see Deadpool in a Spiderman film hasn't been realised this time, you never know what might happen in future.
