An American Airlines passenger who was caught on video barging past two travellers at the end of a flight has defended his behaviour.

The incident occurred on an American Airlines flight from Charlotte to Fort Lauderdale when Cox tried to squeeze past people in the aisle of the plane to disembark before encountering three women who attempted to stop him from rushing ahead.

In the video, Cox is heard shouting "I make the rules as I go", before one of the women then shouts back: "And I'll break them!"

He then barges through, knocking multiple people to the side as the trio of women continue to argue with him.

Cox then yells: "Don't be rude to me because one thing I can do is be rude back to you."

The argument continues back and forth before Cox notices he is being filmed to which he mockingly apologises while branding other people on the plane 'Karens.'

Before the clip ends, one of the women taps him on the shoulder. Cox then yells, "You're assaulting me!" before leaving the plane.

Another passenger told the Daily Mail: "When the plane stopped at the gate and the passengers were gathering their belongings from the overhead bins, he started pushing his way to the front of the plane.

"When one woman told him to wait like everybody else, this was his reaction, wound up being almost 6 minutes of nonstop vulgar of crazy ranting."

Cox, who also goes by the name Voièy Fvogèswièr, has since posted a series of videos about the incident on Instagram where he remains defiant about his actions.

He began one video by fighting back against those who'd criticised his behaviour.

"I'm here to not apologise to the motherf***ers at all," he said. "I am not sorry for any of my actions. My actions were intentional."

He then went on to claim he was simply responding to the other travellers' behaviour.

"Not only were my actions f***ing intentional, my actions were based on their actions and the way they treated me."

He explained: "My intention that day was to say 'excuse me' get off the f***ing plane, because I have spent all f***ing day in travel. I'm tired and I'm not gonna sit here and watch you pity and p*** the f*** around while I am tired and ready to go home."

In a later video also posted to Instagram, he then proclaimed: "I am about to be boycotted by every white media outlet in America. They will be coming for me and let me tell ya, I'm all gas and I'm ready."
