Alongside his love for the theatre and performing, Cumberbatch went on to star in his breakthrough film, in which he portrayed genius Steven Hawkings in the television movie Hawking in 2004.

Cumberbatch has featured in more major films than we even have room to write about, from The Grinch to The Jungle Book, he can play just about any role that’s required of him, even if that does mean voicing a green monster who hates Christmas. 

Cumberbatch has also proved to be quite the business man, he launched his own production company in 2013 called SunnyMarch, which has an estimated yearly turnover of £3.3 million. 

He currently resides in London with his wife Sophie Hunter and their three children, and although the exact location of his abode is unknown, it seems that the Marvel star was recently eyeing up a £4 million mansion in the south-west. It seems certain that being Doctor Strange definitely has its perks, right?
