Tiger King's Carole Baskin to be targeted by private investigator in search for missing husband

Tiger King's Carole Baskin to be targeted by private investigator in search for missing husband

Carole Baskin is being targeted by a private investigator who believes that she may have murdered her missing husband.

The star of Tiger King, Carole Baskin, is reportedly being targeted by a private investigator in search for her missing husband.

For those unaware, Baskin was accused of murdering her former partner, Don Lewis, by Joe Exotic.

Her ex-husband mysteriously went missing in 1997, with Exotic claiming that Baskin put his body through a meat grinder.

Ever since the wild accusations were brought to light, Baskin has protested her innocence at all times.

Lewis went missing in August 1997, with him filing a restraining order against Baskin, and telling police that his wife wanted to kill him at the same time.

Five years later in 2002, Lewis was legally declared dead, though his body has never been found.

Now, as per the Daily Mail, ex Secret Service agent and homicide detective Jim Rathmann wants to look further into the case.

He plans on probing the site, which has been made famous by the Netflix series, with cadaver dogs and forensic experts to see if there are signs of human remains.

It comes after years of conspiracy theories and allegations from locals that Lewis was murdered on site, and doing this investigation would seemingly put any rumours to bed.

The detective also plans to ask the buyers of Baskin's property to allow him and his team to examine the region, with him having an idea of 'potential places of interest'.

Rathmann actually has a lot of history with the story of Don Lewis, as he made his own TV series about his death.

He believes that Baskin still has a lot of questions to answer for, after refusing to discuss the case.

Rathmann believes that a thorough study and search of Big Cat Rescue grounds would prove or disprove these claims once and for all, as some fans believe she is the 'prime suspect' as to what happened to Lewis.

In their exclusive, the Daily Mail said they had contacted a representative of Baskin for comment, who directed them to a previously issued statement in 2021.

LADbibe has also contacted a representative of Baskin for comment.

The now two-year old statement denied Baskin had any involvement in Lewis' 1997 disappearance.

The Netflix star has previously claimed to police that Lewis fled to Costa Rica, while Rathmann believes that Lewis was killed.

It will certainly be interesting to see where this story goes next.
