Amy Schumer revealed she lost 50lbs in order to 'survive' a potentially deadly disease after sharing photos of her new, slimmer look.
The comedian has made no bones about the fact that she took the weight loss drug Mounjaro after having a bad experience with Ozempic, with her saying she was 'loving being on Mounjaro'.
However, she said that losing weight was more to do with looking after her health, rather than seeing the number on her scales go down, as she said in an Instagram post: "I’m sure my weight will always fluctuate. I’m a perimenopausal woman on hrt meds."
Listing her health boosts, Schumer explained she'd 'been working to be pain free and I finally am', writing: "My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal."

Now, she's put up a new post explaining the situation further.

"I don't get Botox or filer [sic]. I didn't lose 30lbs, I lost 50. Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary," she said.
"I did it to survive, I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the Internet caught it and that disease has cleared.
"Sorry for whatever feeling it's giving you that I lost that weight. I've had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro."

Schumer said she was 'pain free' and importantly she could play 'tag with my son', as well as adding that her husband Chris was 'the best' and 'whatever ends up happening' doesn't have anything to do with 'weight loss or autism'.
The comedian had Cushing syndrome, which can occur when your body produces too much of the hormone cortisol, and the main group of people affected are women aged between 25 and 50.

It makes a person's face puff up, and without treatment, it can end up being fatal, while it can also result in a plethora of other health conditions, including blood clots, heart attacks, infections and depression.
The comedian has said in the past she is 'grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son'.

People have been digging her latest post as there's been lots of comments using the fire emoji, though comedy writer and director Judd Apatow asked that next time she use 'a larger type face with more contrast'.
Madonna was another famous figure to respond, saying: "Why do you feel like you need to apologize for looking after yourself? People are always going to have their judgments and their opinions.
"Do what makes you feel happy and healthy."
