Amy Schumer has announced that she and her husband, Chris Fischer, are calling it quits after seven years of marriage.
The Trainwreck star and Fischer, who is a chef, began their relationship in 2017, before marrying in 2018. The following year, they became parents to a son, Gene, 6.
On Friday (12 December), the comedian took to Instagram to announce their decision to split, confirming it was 'amicable'.
Sharing a picture of her and Chris on the New York subway, Schumer wrote: "Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years."

"We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time."
However, she also addressed the speculation behind their split.

In her post, Schumer continued to say that it had nothing to do with her weight loss journey, which she has been extremely candid about, as she wrote: "Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag a basket and not because he’s a hot Janlmes beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail.
"Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever."
A week before, the I Feel Pretty star seemingly addressed speculation surrounding her relationship in an Instagram Story praising Hulu's legal series All's Fair, as she wrote: "And Chris and I are still married."
And on 1 December, she once again addressed her marriage, as she detailed how her health had impacted her weight loss.
Adding that she lost weight 'not to look hot' but to 'survive', Schumer continued: "Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism."
Fischer was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in 2022.

"Fingers crossed we make it through," Schumer added. "He's the best."
The star previously hit back at accusations that she'd deleted all her photos from her Instagram page following her weight loss, with only a photo of Schumer in a red dress and heels remaining, with the caption reading: "I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!"
She accused the media of 'creating' a weight loss narrative, as she says she has always been 'proud of her appearance'.
"I have been working to be pain-free, and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal," Schumer said. "I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son.
"But your Instagram is not your identity, it’s a curation of what you want the world to see and I feel great strong and beautiful and it’s been fun sharing that."
