Angry Ginge has once again spoken about his relationship with alcohol after previously opening up about his traumatic family history.

During last night’s (19 November) episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! the stars discussed sobriety as Lisa Riley revealed she used to drink ‘three bottles of Malbec a night’.

She spoke to Jack Osbourne about attending AA in the US, as she said she’s now been sober for 10 years. Meanwhile, Osbourne previously opened up about going to a treatment centre at 17.

And Ginge was able to relate to his fellow celebrities, as he said he often gets called ‘boring’ because he doesn’t drink.

The YouTuber has been open in the past about his decision to avoid alcohol, as the 24-year-old told his campmates he’d ‘rather have a Pepsi Max’.

“We have a personality without alcohol,” he said to Riley.

In a previous appearance on the Off Stream podcast, Ginge (real name Morgan Sam Lee Burtwistle) revealed he doesn’t really go on nights out and doesn’t drink.

And when he’s out at the pub or with friends who are drinking, he’ll ‘just have a Red Bull’.

“I don’t drink alcohol,” he added.

On The Fellas Podcast, he said he ‘very rarely’ would drink: “I just don’t like the taste.”

While doing the ‘Web’s Most Searched Questions’ with Danny Aarons, he was again asked why he ‘never drinks alcohol’.

“Well, I’ve obviously had alcohol in my life,” Ginge said, “but I don’t drink. I don’t find it good, it damages your liver.”

And then quoting a friend he added: “You’ve got a personality without drinking.

“I just don’t like the taste of it either to be honest. Maybe, the only thing I’d go to is a Disaronno and coke.”

Ginge has often also discussed having a traumatic family history as he’s claimed in videos before: “My dad was an alcoholic and he used to beat every single one of my family members.”

When speaking to the Off Stream podcast, he explained his father is ‘not a good man’ as he added: “I also remember as a kid, I cannot count on two hands how many times there would be the back fences kicked in because they were wooden. There’d just be cans of Stella and smashed glass outside, which was him.

“In the middle of the night, he just came to the house… he just picked a brick up and threw it through the window, then the next day had the balls to come and try and see me.”
