Jake Paul has sent a message of support to Anthony Joshua after a horrific car crash that has left two people dead.
Joshua was involved in a car crash earlier today, December 29, in Nigeria, with police confirming that the boxer was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Dramatic footage posted to social media saw the British boxer being lifted out of the car following the crash, seemingly in shock from the incident.
An anonymous family member of Joshua's spoke to the BBC about the crash and said that the news 'came as a shock' and said: "We are hoping for his speedy recovery and also the people who passed away - I pray for the departed to rest in peace."

Joshua’s family went on to state that he was visiting the country to celebrate the new year, having recently taken part in a high-profile boxing fight with Jake Paul.
Paul and Joshua fought in the latest major boxing event to take place on Netflix, earning the two of them a combined purse of £137,000,000.

Joshua knocked Paul out in the sixth round, breaking his jaw in two places in the process and leaving the influencer with four titanium plates.
Paul released the statement on X, saying: "Life is much more important than boxing. I am praying for the lost lives, AJ and anyone impacted by today’s unfortunate accident."
The influencer-turned-boxer's promotion, MVP, posted a statement at the same time saying: "The MVP family is thinking of and praying for everyone that has been impacted by today’s car accident in Nigeria. Our prayers and condolences go out to all."

Paul and Joshua exchanged harsh words in the build up to the fight, but have both shown respect to one another since.
Speaking on his brother Logan's podcast, Jake admit that he got his 'a** beat' in the fight, whilst Joshua said of Jake in the post-fight press conference: "I wish I could have knocked him out at the start, but as we saw, Jake has spirit. He has some heart and I take my hat off to him.
"No. 1, a lot of fighters haven't got in the ring with me and Jake did. And secondly, even when he got knocked down, he kept trying to get up."
Joshua was originally intended to fight in Riyadh in February, having called out Tyson Fury after his knockout win over Paul.
Whilst there have been no official confirmation of the exact injuries Joshua received in the crash, police told the BBC he was 'fine' but had been taken to hospital as a precaution to deal with 'minor injuries'.

Photos of the crash have been published on X by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) of Nigeria.
The incident took place on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Makun, Ogun State, with local media calling the road the 'most dangerous' in Nigeria.
The FRSC claim that the vehicle, which Joshua was not driving at the time of the crash, drove into the back of a stationary truck whilst travelling at speed.
Five people were involved in the incident, two of whom were declared dead at the scene of the crash.
