Billionaire bride and groom hire extremely famous artist to perform at extortionate wedding

Billionaire bride and groom hire extremely famous artist to perform at extortionate wedding

Billionaire heirs Radhika Merchant and Mukesh Ambani have a very special guest celebrating with them this weekend.

You may as well just cancel your bookings if you're planning on getting married this year, as this billionaire bride and groom have already blown everyone else's nuptials right out of the water.

And this isn't even their actual wedding - it's just a warm up.

Celebrities, royals and politicians are among those flying into Jamnagar, a city in western India, for a three-day celebration this weekend to celebrate the pending nuptials of Radhika Merchant and Mukesh Ambani.

Merchant is the daughter of private health care titan and CEO of Encore Healthcare Shri Viren Merchant, while Ambani is the youngest son of India's richest man Mukesh Ambani.

Even though their official wedding ceremony takes place in Mumbai on July 12, the couple are already drumming up excitement for their big day by giving their guests a taste of what ridiculously exorbitant things are to come.

And with a multi-billion dollar budget, you can bet it's going to be a wedding to remember.

Those who earned a spot on the coveted VIP guest list - which is said to include the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Hillary Clinton and Bill Gates - have been sent a hefty nine-page dress code, according to the Times.

With parties, sightseeing and a trip to an animal sanctuary to prepare for, I can imagine a few stars will be sitting on their suitcases to try and jam all their clothes in.

They need to cram five different outfit changes into their luggage - and outfits appropriate for black tie as well as 'comfortable clothing', 'casual chic', 'dazzling desi romance' and 'traditional Indian formalwear' which are all on the list.

Merchant and Ambani, who are believed to be childhood sweethearts, will kick off their three-day extravaganza on Friday with a cocktail party, which has been dubbed an 'evening in everland', according to the invitations for the pre-wedding bash that have been circulating on social media.

The next day, guests will 'walk on the wild side' while visiting the groom's animal rescue centre, but they've been told to opt for sensible footwear instead of stilettos.

After that wholesome outing, attendees will then go back and get their glad rags on to abide by the 'dazzling desi romance' dress code which is required for the 'Mela Rogue festival' on Saturday night.

'Casual chic' reigns supreme on Sunday as the lucky people with an invite will head out to the Tusker Trails, where they are expected to explore the local area and get up close and personal with wildlife ahead of the weekend's final event.

The couple have secured a huge star to put on a private performance.

The lavish affair will then wrap up with a 'Hashtakshar' - which translates to 'signature' - which is an elegant party where those attending don traditional clothing such as sherwanis and sarees.

Hairstylists, make-up artists and sari drapers will also be at the disposable of guests throughout the entire weekend.

In the midst of that jam-packed schedule, guests will also enjoy a few incredible performances - and the ridiculously rich couple have reportedly secured one of the world's most sought after singer's to celebrate with them.

As well as Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh, 'Disturbia' hitmaker Rihanna will reportedly be taking to the stage.

Indian media have reported that the music star's team has already landed in Jamnagar, while The Times claim that she will be belting her heart out at some point over the weekend.

Merchant's family were reported to have stumped up $6million for Beyonce to fly in to India for her sister's wedding back in 2018, so even though it's enviable, it's not that surprising.

Merchant and Ambani states that they want guests 'to enjoy each moment to the fullest and make beautiful memories that last a lifetime' - and it sounds like they will have no trouble doing that.

Any room for a little one?
