Britney Spears has broke her silence three weeks after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

A representative told PEOPLE that both her sons, including Sean, 20, will be joining her during this time.

"Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being," the rep said.
"This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.
"Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.

"Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time."
The California Highway Patrol said Spears was 'driving erratically at a high rate of speed... showed signs of impairment and submitted to a series of field sobriety tests' and 'was subsequently arrested for a violation of California Vehicle Code section 23152(g), driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol' and booked.
A source told The Daily Mail that the 'Womanizer' hitmaker has been attending AA meetings in LA.

"Britney has been very open and honest in her AA meetings, she has said she loves pouring her heart out as she knows that is the best way to heal and feel better," the source said.
"The only thing she has indulged in is fancy coffee drinks. She is being super careful because she wants to be there for her kids.
"She is very happy that they are close again, it is healing her heart, she loves her sons."
A source also told Page Six that she is 'devastated' over her arrest.
“Britney knows she has to face the consequences whatever they may be,” the source said.
Spears is scheduled to appear in court on 4 May.
