Jack Fincham revealed that he's lost £1 million after spending years 'chasing the wrong things' in a painful admission about his life.

The 34-year-old shot to fame after winning season four of Love Island alongside ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer in 2018, however, he's had a rocky relationship with fame in the years since.

Fincham has had numerous brushes with the law, most recently being found guilty of two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog earlier this year.

However, the reality star appears to be committing to turning his life around for good, sharing an honest admission about his past mistakes and future plans on social media.

Taking to Instagram, Fincham explained that he'd lost £1 million and a million followers after years of 'chasing the wrong things' before vowing to start afresh.

"I’ve been quiet for a long time — maybe too long. Truth is, I haven’t known what to say," he told fans in the video clip.

"I lost over £1 million chasing the wrong things — and in the process, I lost over a million followers too. That hurt. But I get it.

"I wasn’t myself. I was lost, struggling, and making the kind of mistakes that feel impossible to come back from."

Fincham went on to explain that he'd taken 'a lot of bad advice' in recent years and made 'massive mistakes' but is now hoping to document his growth from rock bottom.

Explaining that he's planning to launch a YouTube channel to share his journey, the reality star continued: "I want to show you what it’s like, that with the right mindset, the right people around you, absolutely anything is possible.

"It’s going to be a bit messy, but it’s going to be uncut, raw, but it’s going to be in my own words."

He added: "So if you’ve ever felt like you’re at rock bottom, if you ever felt like there was no way out, this YouTube channel is definitely for you."

Fincham's admission comes just months after he was able to narrowly avoid a prison sentence after his Cane Corso dog bit a runner in Kent back in 2022.

After the attack, Fincham was cautioned, ordered to go on a responsible dog course and keep his dog muzzled in public. However, a separate incident in June 2024 saw the dog, named Elvis, maul an unnamed woman.

Fincham was under a suspended sentence at the time, and a judge decided to activate the order and send him to prison for six weeks. The ruling was appealed by Fincham's legal team, allowing him to be freed on bail.

"We are optimistic that in the fullness of time, the Crown Court will uphold Mr Fincham’s appeal," Fincham's lawyer told MailOnline of the decision.
