Charlie Sheen reveals why there was one drug that he wouldn't do even at height of addiction

He claimed there was one drug he would never touch

Charlie Sheen has spoken out about his drug addiction and said there is one substance he wouldn't ever do.

The Two and a Half Men star recently released a Netflix documentary about himself and his memoir, The Book of Sheen, both of which dive into some of the more notable episodes from his personal life.

These days, Sheen says he's been sober for several years after realising he was too drunk to drive his daughter to a morning appointment and had to ask a friend to come over and get behind the wheel.

He'd already quit drugs by that point, and has since described drugs and alcohol as 'a young person's game', telling Fox that if he could go back, he'd know 'it’s only going to make things worse and more complicated'.

The actor said he was 11 when he first tried marijuana, then did cocaine in high school and developed a 'hair-on-fire obsession to get that drug into my bloodstream' while filming the movie Platoon.

Sheen claimed trying crack for the first time in 1992 sent him to 'another galaxy', but there is one drug he never did despite coming incredibly close to doing so.

Speaking to the Impaulsive podcast, Sheen explained that he had never taken heroin and explained why he never tried it.

He said: "You know, heroin is the one drug that I never did.

"I don't regret it because I kind of made a decision, and I didn't even know what it was based on. I hadn't done any research and didn't really have a ton of data.

"I saw heroin as as I would do it once and die or do it once and then need to do it every day for a long time until I died."

The actor described one episode in Germany where he asked his limo driver to 'get me some s**t' and came back with some 'super dark' substance.

Sheen said he lifted it to his nose when they passed a pub with the lights still on, which illuminated what he was about to snort, and he saw it was 'brown'.

At that point, he stopped and told his driver 'this is not the s**t that I was hoping for', and said he came 'that close to just ehkkkkk', mimicking a dying noise.

Sheen has been hoping that his own accounts of addiction would help others do something about it, saying: "I'd like to believe that it will reach people that are in similar pain and feel like they're not alone."
