Charlie Sheen has said he's been sober and celibate for almost a decade now, as the actor promotes his new Netflix documentary aka Charlie Sheen.
He was the star of Two and a Half Men before getting kicked off the show and embarking on a public meltdown, which included an interview where he declared he had 'tiger blood'.
Struggling with addiction to alcohol and drugs, Sheen was also diagnosed with HIV and went from being the highest paid actor on TV to finding it difficult to secure work after the TV show Anger Management wrapped up.

Sheen's documentary and his recent memoir, The Book of Sheen, include the revelation that he had sexual encounters with men and was extorted afterwards as he said he was 'held hostage' by some of his partners who he paid to keep quiet.
In a recent interview with Page Six, he said that he's been sober and celibate since 2017, which is longer ago than you might think, dear reader.
The actor said he hadn't been in a relationship since he'd been sober, and and when asked if that meant he'd been 'celibate' he said: "If I don’t have a girlfriend and I’m not paying for it, then I think the math is pretty simple. The math is pretty simple.

"Oh my gosh, for so long [sex] was all I cared about, or it was near the top of the priority list. And so I just saw [celibacy] as a needed break from those pursuits.
"That’s not me slamming the door on anything in the future. No, I would absolutely welcome some type of companionship."
So he's not committing himself to live like a monk for the rest of his life, but Sheen wrote in his memoir there was 'not enough room in my car' for looking after his children and dating someone.
Sheen has five children from three of his past relationships, with eldest child Cassandra from his high school girlfriend Paula Profit, daughters Sami and Lola with his second wife Denise Richards and twin sons Bob and Max from his third marriage with Brooke Mueller.

The actor has said he hasn't spoken with his daughter Sami for over a year now after she started a career on OnlyFans, though he added that while it had been 'awful' he said there were 'always shots to repair anything'.
Among the revelations in his documentary is the claim that while travelling for his honeymoon with Mueller, he was allowed into the plane's cockpit and allowed to briefly fly the aircraft while 'drunk'.
There was also a claim that he left rehab to judge a bikini competition with Nicolas Cage, promising a rehab nurse he'd pay her $1 million if he wasn't back by a certain time.
He got back with 20 minutes to spare, saying the nurse was 'happy for me, but disappointed for herself'.
