David Beckham's son Romeo reportedly made an emotional speech at his dad's birthday party last week as Brooklyn Beckham allegedly didn't show up.
The former Manchester United footballer turned 50 (yes, we are that old now) on 2 May, and he celebrated his big day alongside celebrity A-listers such as Gordon Ramsay, Tom Cruise, and Eva Longoria.
However, Beckham was reportedly left devastated after he and Victoria's eldest child, Brooklyn, allegedly didn't appear at the birthday celebrations with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

A source claimed to The Sun that Brooklyn had 'informed his parents a while ago' of their decision, but his parents had 'desperately hoped he would change his mind', adding: "They just hope things can be patched up soon. In the mean time, everyone around David are doing all they can to give him a magical evening to remember."
According to reports, Romeo, who also spent time playing football with Brentford's B team but never quite discovered his dad's knack for free kicks, delivered an emotional speech in honour of his father that was almost worthy of his Shakespearean namesake.

According to The Mirror, he said: "Good evening everyone. I would like to start by thanking you all for being here tonight. I know without many of you in here tonight he wouldn't be half of the man he is today. But to the man of the moment..."
He then went on to praise his father, who, earlier this week, he described as 'the most amazing role model' on his Instagram.

Hello! Magazine reports that the speech was well-received by partygoers - so long as he didn't mention that red card against Argentina - with the outlet further adding that he'd previously given a speech at his dad's pre-birthday dinner in Miami on 10 April.
Despite allegedly travelling from L.A to London recently, Brooklyn didn't attend any of his father's birthday celebrations and is also yet to post anything on social media, while David hasn't publicly commented on his reported absence.
David had previously spoke about the time his son almost got his first tattoo without his dad by his side, something which left the Inter Miami owner 'very upset'.
Speaking to James Corden on his The Late Late Show in 2017, the footballer said: "I've always said to him 'Your first tattoo, if you're going to have one, I want to be there'. Just to experience it as a dad."

However, one of Brooklyn's mates called him up to let him know that 'Brooklyn’s in a tattoo shop, you should probably call him’, leading him to do just that.
He said: "So I called him, I FaceTimed him and I said, ‘What you doing mate?’ And he said, ‘I’m just going for dinner.’ I was like, ‘Are you sure you’re going for dinner?'”
He then admitted that he was with Peltz in a tattoo shop and was 'thinking about having something’, to which his dad responded: "I was like ‘Okay, you are more than welcome to have it.
“But remember, you promised me and I’m your dad and I would feel really upset if you actually went through with it'."
Luckily, Brooklyn held off and waited until his dad could be there for his first tattoo.
