Denise Richards shares details of face lift after sharing 'shocking' before and after pictures
Denise Richards has opened up about her recent facelift saying it was ‘the best thing’ she’s done.
The 55-year-old star has been candid about going under the knife after her surgeon Dr Ben Talei, who runs a swanky clinic in Beverly Hills, shared ‘shocking’ before-and-after photos back in March.
In a new interview with Bunnie XO on her Dumb Blonde podcast, Richards has shared more details on her decision.
“Originally I had been thinking about doing just my neck,” the Wild Things star said.

“Then a friend of mine — she’s very well-known and she’s not public about hers — and she said to me, ‘You have to do the whole thing.’ And I was like, ‘I don’t want to do the whole thing.’ I was scared.”
Richards explained that prior to her surgery she’d never done anything to her face other than dabbling with a ‘little Botox’ and some fillers.
However, she said her mind was changed after she checked out Dr Talei’s work online.
“His work was impeccable. I saw so many before and afters. And I just said, ‘Do what you want to do.’ I was terrified, but he did everything,” she continued.
“He did the lower neck, the lower face, the upper, the brow lift. The only thing he didn’t do were my lower lids. He did my upper lid. But I mean, he did the whole thing.”
Despite being delighted with the results, Richards did admit that it was ‘painful’.
“When I was told, ‘Oh, it gets better as you heal,’ and I’m like, ‘How with gravity? How are we going to get better?’ And it does,” Richards said.
“It’s like your face settles or something. It was the best thing I did for myself.”
Back in March, Dr Talei, who specialises in 'natural, long-lasting facelift and neck lift surgery', according to his website, shared details of exactly what he did to roll back the years from Richards’ face.
Discussing some of the tweaks he made to Richards' face in a post on Instagram, he said: "There are things that the majority of surgeons in the world would gloss over, such as the organisation of the eyebrow hair or the contour and shape of the forehead.
"As we age, so many little things change, like the disarray of the eyebrow hair pattern.
"If you look at the after photo, you can see how much more organised they look from the three-dimensional changes I’m able to make.
"If you look at the forehead contours from the side view, you can see how young in the shape looks now.
"Her stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than changed or just cleaned up. Even her earlobes look better from all views. The sad or tired look around the eyes and mouth have been neutralised and reversed. "
He also praised the star for being ‘so open about the procedure'.
"She’s been through so much this past year and her resilience is just astounding," he added. "She has a golden heart and her golden face is hers again."
In response, Richards replied: "I am forever so grateful thank you ... and deeply humbled by your unbelievably kind words."
