50 Cent responds after he's name-dropped during P Diddy sex trafficking trial

Sean Combs is alleged to have made a threat about 50 Cent with a 'very serious' demeanour

50 Cent has been providing something of a running commentary of Diddy's trial on social media, albeit with a large amount of satire.

So, imagine the rapper's surprise when he noticed his own name crop up during court proceedings on Tuesday (27 May), as Capricorn Clark took the stand.

Diddy's former assistant testified about incidents of violence she claims to have witnessed while she was employed by the music mogul on-and-off for more than a decade.

She claimed that she was kidnapped at gunpoint by Diddy before he broke into Kid Cudi's home, saw repeated assaults on Cassie Ventura, spent five days taking a lie detector test and alleged that her life was repeatedly threatened.

Diddy, 55, is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, all of which he denies. He has pleaded not guilty.

Clark, who was previously global brand director for Bad Boy Entertainment, also recalled an occasion where Diddy - real name Sean Combs - had allegedly sparked a discussion about guns.

She testified that she heard the father-of-seven speak about having a firearm after attending an MTV event which 50 Cent had also been involved in, CNN reports.

The court heard Clark was in a lift alongside Diddy and his former manager when Diddy explained he had 'a problem' with the fellow rap artist.

While talking about how to handle the issue, Clark alleges that Diddy said: "I really don’t like all the back and forth. I don’t do that; I like guns," with a 'very serious' demeanour.

As mentioned, 50 Cent has been keeping his finger on the pulse when it comes to the high-profile trial, so it didn't take long for him to discover he had been name-dropped.

The 'I Get Money' musician, 49, seemed to see the funny side of the court testimony, as he took to Instagram to share his reaction.

He posted what appears to be an AI-generated image of himself wearing a suit stood in front of a camera crew alongside the caption: "Cut, CUT. Wait a minute PUFFY’s got a gun, I can’t believe this I don’t feel safe LOL."

50 Cent then followed up with another similar snap of himself looking scared, next to the words: "Oh my goodness itty bitty Diddy wants me Dead, I have to lay low. I think I’m gonna hide out at the playoff game tonight. LOL."

He was famously shot nine times and survived, so it seems Diddy's alleged weapons don't spook him.

The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, previously revealed why he steered clear of Diddy throughout his career.
