The 'Day 'n' Nite' singer, real name Scott Mescudi, testified yesterday about his relationship with Ventura and how it led to him allegedly falling foul of Combs.

Mescudi told the court that he'd had a brief relationship with Ventura in 2011, during a period where he believed that she and Combs had separated.
However, it is now understood that Ventura - who had been in an on-off relationship with Combs from 2007 to 2018 - was still involved with the Bad Boy Records founder.
During his testimony, the 41-year-old rapper told the court that Ventura had disclosed what it was like to be in a relationship with Combs, including allegations of domestic abuse.
Mescudi said the 'Me & U' singer told him that Combs would 'would hit her' and 'sometimes kick her'.

He also recalled the moment when Combs learned about his and Ventura's relationship, testifying that he received a 'scared' call from the singer early in the morning.
"I didn't think she was still dealing with him," he told the court, adding that he then took Ventura to a hotel in order to make sure he was 'safe'.
Mescudi said he was then informed that Combs had visited his property with an associate. When the rapper arrived back at his home, he is said to have discovered evidence that someone had broken in. Mescudi said that he found his dog locked in the bathroom and that the pooch had been 'anxious' and 'jittery' following the incident.
He then told the court that his and Ventura's relationship ended due to 'safety concerns' for himself and the 38-year-old, as he 'knew Sean Combs was violent'.
Mescudi's testimony also detailed an incident where his car was on fire, which he claimed was the result of a molotov cocktail being pushed through the roof.

Ventura had previously testified that she'd received a call from Combs stating that he'd threatened to 'blow up' her lover's car. The singer added that Combs had discovered the incident during one of their 'freak offs' and had allegedly 'lunged at her' with a wine opener in his hand.
Testifying about the incident, which occurred in January 2012, Mescudi said that he'd received a call from his dog watcher stating that his car was on fire.

"It looks like the top of my Porsche was cut open, and that's where the Molotov cocktail was put in," he told the court, adding that the car had not been salvageable.
