Gary Lineker has hit back at criticism after a video of him walking with a woman on the streets of Mexico did the rounds online.
The former Tottenham, Leicester and Barcelona footballer is known for speaking his mind on social media and this time, he wasted no time in responding to far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
Lineker officially left his post as Match of the Day host after he shared a post online about zionism which included an illustration of a rat. The BBC said it was a 'breach of our guidelines'.
Despite apologising for the matter, he chose to step down from the position, meaning that he would also no longer present the 2026 World Cup for the broadcaster, which was initially agreed upon.

He was criticised by many, including Robinson himself, for his actions, with the anti-Islam campaigner now commenting on a video of Lineker while on holiday, walking on a street abroad alongside a young woman.
Sharing the video, Robinson said on X: "What are you up to here @GaryLineker?"
In the clip, the person filming can be heard asking the presenter the same question, before telling Lineker to 'enjoy his holiday'.
The 65-year-old broadcaster quickly explained what he was doing in the video, adding that Robinson had 'hatred' towards him, writing in a repost: "If you must know, I was going to a chemist with my daughter-in-law, to get some medicine for her unwell husband….my son. Hatred is a dreadful weakness."

The woman in the video, Bella, has been married to Harry Lineker since this summer.
His other son, George, even labelled Robinson a 'f***ing idiot' for bringing attention to the clip.
It's not the first time Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has clashed with the former Three Lions striker.

Lineker even claimed he was 'elbowed in the back' by an older woman while she was heading to one of Robinson's rallies.
Speaking to Joe, Lineker admitted that he was told he 'hated Britain' while doing the food shop, claiming 'it's the same lot every time' who target him in public.

As for the reason for his trip to Mexico, Lineker said on Instagram that it was the first time he had been to the country since the 1986 World Cup, where he won the Golden Boot as England crashed out in the quarter final to Argentina after Diego Maradona's infamous 'Hand of God' goal.
Lineker added that he had been in the city of Pachuca in November to attend a ceremony inducting him into the International Football Hall of Fame.

Rumours have swirled about a potential deal for the footy host with Netflix ahead of next year's World Cup in North America, which would result in a 'huge payday', reports the Daily Mail.
