Maya Jama reacts to Gary Lineker after presenter 'reveals her new relationship with footballer'

Love Island star Maya Jama appeared mortified after Gary Lineker seemingly confirmed rumours regarding her alleged new footballer flame.

TV presenter and influencer Jama was famously in an on-and-off relationship with rapper Stormzy before the pair ended things for good in July 2024.

However it would seem the 30-year-old has found love once again with a certain Premier League star.

Rumours about Jama's relationship status have been swirling for the past couple of months, with her relationship status seemingly confirmed by Gary Lineker of all people.

During an Instagram live session for new Sky Sports series Baller League, Jama was in conversation with Lineker and Micah Richards, when the former Match of the Day presenter seemingly slipped up about her relationship status.

For those unaware with the latest updates in influencer sports competitions, Baller League is a six-a-side indoor football competition involving influencers and former PL stars. Jama will co-manage a team alongside Juventus striker Alisha Lehmann and compete against the likes of Ian Wright, Chloe Kelly, John Terry, Alan Shearer, Micah Richards and Gary Lineker.

Richards and Jama were engaging in some lively back-and-forth in the video, with Jama calling the retired Manchester City star her main 'op' in the competition.

Richards then fired back by calling Jama out for mistaking his age for 40 and not 36. "You said I look 40 years old. I'm only 36. You do me wrong man. How old are you?," Richards said, before asking Jama how old she was.

"I'm 30 actually, on the dot. Just 3-0, new, fresh 30. I just got there."

The conversation was randomly interrupted by Lineker, who jumped in to tell Richards to stop 'flirting' and convince Jama's boyfriend to play for their team.

Both sports presenters chuckled at the comment, while Jama appeared mortified and told the pair to 'Get out'.

"This is why I don't talk to old people," she then said to the camera. "They're so weird."

Jama has neither confirmed or denied the reports about her relationship but she is currently believed to be dating Manchester City Star Rúben Dias, with a report from MailOnline stating the pair were spotted spending New Year's Eve together in Ibiza.

The Sun also speculated that a large bouquet of flowers shared by Jama on her Instagram Stories could've been from the Portuguese player, however she did not reveal the identity of who sent the flowers.

The pair (and I can't believe this is something I actually checked) at least follow each other on Instagram, suggesting they do know each other.
