Viewers have noticed The Rock’s reaction after Fast and Furious co-star Vin Diesel greeted the actor at the Golden Globes.

The pair have had a well-documented feud for years, with John Cena commenting on the rumours of their falling out by saying: “You have two very alpha, driven people. You get two, there can only be one.”

The pair both presented awards at The Golden Globes, with Vin Diesel walking out onto stage and immediately going, ‘hey Dwayne’.

One fan said: “You can cut the tension between The Rock and Vin Diesel with a knife.”

Another said: “What a little stinker.”

Others pointed to Dwayne Johnson’s reaction, with one account saying: “Lmao, that was lowkey awkward fr.”

The feud originated when The Rock posted on Instagram in 2016 about how he had a 'chickensh*t' and 'candyass' co-star, which many believed to be Vin Diesel.

The Fast and Furious star all but confirmed this when he later said in an interview with Men's Health that there was tension on set between the two because he gave The Rock 'tough love' to get a better performance out of him.

He said: "It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character.

"My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be. As a producer to say, ‘Okay, we’re going to take Dwayne Johnson, who’s associated with wrestling, and we’re going to force this cinematic world, audience members, to regard his character as someone that they don’t know."

Johnson joined the franchise for Fast Five, appearing in every film until he skipped the ninth instalment reportedly due to his relationship with Vin Diesel.

Following this Vin Diesel made a public plea for Johnson to return to the franchise.

He posted to Instagram saying: "The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house.

"There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come.

"Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10!"

The Rock responded a month later in an interview with CNN in which he was critical of the post, saying: "I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return.

“Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I didn’t like that he brought up his children in the post, as well as Paul Walker’s death.

"Leave them out of it. We had spoken months ago about this and came to a clear understanding."

Despite this, The Rock appeared with a mid-credits cameo scene in Fast 10 and is expected to appear in the eleventh film is a full role.
