Rare footage of a young Gordon Ramsay proves he's never changed as he confronts 'd***head' chef

Rare footage of a young Gordon Ramsay proves he's never changed as he confronts 'd***head' chef

The bad-mouthed chef has been on our TVs for as long as we can remember

Gordon Ramsay has been a staple on our TV screens for as long as we can remember.

The chef has just as much a presence in restaurants as he does in British and American television.

From Hell’s Kitchen to Kitchen Nightmares, we’ve all got our own favourite Ramsay shows - perhaps you’re more of a fan of his adventures with Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix.

But before all of that, was the 1999 miniseries on the chef.

It started with Boiling Point, following him as he opened his first restaurant; Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London back in 1998.

This was then followed by Beyond Boiling Point in 2000, when he had reached celebrity status and was still cooking away in his restaurants.

And resurfaced footage from the show that while he may have aged a little and opened a couple more spots and done a whole load more of TV, he hasn’t totally changed.

This was filmed much earlier in Gordon Ramsay's career.

User ‘GordonRamsayTV’ uploaded a clip to TikTok featuring Ramsay’s one-time mentor Marco Pierre White discussing the chef’s hopes to get his three Michelin stars.

And in between this, Ramsay can be seen serving up, well, typical Ramsay in the kitchen.

“Cos this is a f***ing laughing stock. This is a, this is a dream,” he can be seen saying to his chefs.

Nice to know he’s consistent with his swearing, I guess.

He carried on, obviously, angrily saying: “This is a f***ing, this is a p***take. Get with it d***head.”

This is somewhat ironically followed up by White saying: “When Gordon followed me, he realised the standards were most important. And Gordon has adopted that.

Nowadays Ramsay is a globally famous chef with a string of TV shows.

“In his kitchen if you see he doesn’t let anything go which doesn’t meet the standard which is required.”

Users were in hysterics over the resurfaced video, calling it his ‘villain origin story’.

One wrote: “I would love to see a Gordon reaction video of him watching this.”

Ramsay often shares TikToks reacting to people’s cooking.

One included a content creator who decided to deep-fry an avocado and stuff it with burrata. Now if that doesn’t sound like something he’s going to have an opinion on…

The chef absolutely roasted the creation, saying: “Nooo! Fresh burrata was not made as a stuffing for inside an avocado! They are crying their eyes out right now in Italy!”

He added: “Congratulations, we’re not barred from Italy.”

But the TikTok creator told Insider the Ramsay reaction was a ‘dream come true’ and even said: “I think if he actually tried it, he would've liked it too."
