Grimes has divided her fans after unveiling a brand new tattoo on her face which she'd waited '10 years for'.
The 'Oblivion' singer has finally made headlines for a reason which isn't related to her billionaire ex-partner Elon Musk and their three children – and unfortunately fans of the 37-year-old will be devastated to learn that it's not related to her new music.
Instead she has a new tattoo, which has already divided the internet.
Controversial ink isn't anything new, with everyone from the guy who has 600 KSI-themed tattoos to Pete Davidson deciding to remove all of his making headlines over recent months.

And Grimes has joined the club.
The tattoo isn't the first one which Grimes - real name Claire Boucher - has gotten, however the design and placement have led to a mix of opinions from her followers.

Sharing the new ink on Instagram, Grimes shared a make-up free selfie and explained that she's spent the past decade 'emotionally working up to a face tattoo'.
"I guess I drew on my face too much and literally no one noticed, not even my parents, not even after the video lol," she continued.

"That said I think @glyphomancer is onto something truly novel and innovative with her work esp on face tats- there's a true beauty, delicacy, and innovation here imo," she continued.
"Feel like tats are in a crazy renaissance period that's sort of under appreciated atm."
The tattoo for anyone who is curious is the faded-pink ring which bisects her left eye and eye-brow.
Unlike Grimes - who is clearly over the moon with the piece - her followers weren't too convinced by the ink, with several people sharing their dismay in the comments.

"Shook," penned one fan, while a second joked: "I remember my first Ringworm."
"Is the tattoo in the room with us," questioned a third follower, to which another replied to explain that it's designed to look like a scar."
Although Grimes has not explicitly specified whether or not it's supposed to resemble a scar, the suggestion of such rubbed several fans up the wrong way.
"She’s a weirdo and got that 'scar' tatted lol," replied a fourth fan.
However, not everyone was critical, with multiple fans declaring they were fans of the tattoo. "Yesssssssssssssss," read one message of approval.

"Love you grimes you’re perfect," added a second.
This actually isn't the first time the singer unveiled her new tattoo, as she'd previously soft launched the ink in the music video for her new song 'Artificial Angels'.
However, she is yet to confirm whether or not the single will be appearing on an upcoming album, despite multiple pleas to do so in her social media comments.
