A new book about Gwyneth Paltrow claims she made some brutal comments about her ex-partner Brad Pitt once they'd broken up.
Paltrow and Pitt had started dating in 1994 and appeared together in the movie Se7en, becoming engaged in 1996 before the relationship ended the following year.
Now, an upcoming biography of the star written by Amy Odell alleges that while filming for the movie Emma, Paltrow started to express doubts over whether Pitt was the right partner for her.
Writing in the Daily Mail, the author of Gwyneth: The Biography also alleged that several years after she broke up with Brad Pitt, Paltrow had described him as 'dumber than a sack of s**t'.

The author claims in the upcoming book that Paltrow's friends were surprised when she said 'yes' to Pitt's proposal and the relationship ended a few months later.

Odell alleges that several years on from the end of things, Paltrow was having dinner with Aerin Lauder, the granddaughter of Estee Lauder, when someone heard the actor make the comment about Pitt's intelligence.
She also wrote that Paltrow was 'sad' when she heard that her ex was marrying Jennifer Aniston and would tell her friends that Pitt had 'terrible taste in women'.
However, Paltrow's more public utterances about her ex are far more praiseworthy and in 2015 she had told Howard Stern that she thought Pitt was 'sweet' and her dad had really liked him.

She said: "I definitely fell in love with him. He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt!
"My father was devastated. My father loved him like a son. I was such a kid. I was 22 when we met.
"It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old. I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me."

Other parts of Gwyneth: The Biography detail some of the attempts by disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein to prey on her.

The author says that Weinstein gave Paltrow the leading role in Emma, but before the film started, she was told to meet him in his hotel room.
Odell then writes that after a conversation, Weinstein put his hands on Paltrow and then suggested they massage each other in the bedroom, but she left.
She allegedly told close friends, family and Pitt, who confronted Weinstein in 1995 at a theatre premiere, with the actor telling the movie producer he would kill him if he made Paltrow 'feel uncomfortable again'.
Odell writes that Paltrow then got a phone call from the disgraced producer, where he 'screamed' at her for a lengthy period of time and told her he would ruin her career. Weinstein later admitted that he asked Paltrow for a massage, but denied threatening her.
