People have shared their thoughts after Hilary Duff appeared to break down in tears when she dropped coffee on her very expensive Balenciaga bag.
You have to be earning a few quid if you plan on getting anything from the Spanish fashion retailer, known for previously selling luxury bin bags for $2,500.
The Lizzie McGuire star - who has a reported net worth of $25 million - took to Instagram Stories to share a mishap involving her own Balenciaga bag on Friday (24 October).
“Spilled my entire coffee inside my purse and front seat,” the 38-year-old explained alongside a picture of herself crying in the car.

“A whole milk latte. Didn’t even get one sip.”
In another photo, Duff zoomed in on her purse to point at a blue Lola tampon, possibly alluding to her being on her period.

Meanwhile, the bag itself could be the same Balenciaga gift to her from her husband of six years, Matthew Koma.
"@matthewkoma made my coco chestnut dreams come true," she previously wrote alongside a mirror selfie, as she looked to be holding a version of Balenciaga's 'Rodeo Handbag'.

Described as having 'smooth calfskin' with 'aged-gold hardware', the large version will set you back £4,150, according to the official website.
However, it remains unclear what exact bag Duff had with her in her car that day.

Commenting on the post on X, one person said: "Like she can't buy another one?"
"Shes rich just buy more xx," another penned.

Her other fans looked beyond the financial side of things, though, as a third viewer wrote: "She is the type of person that would only have one of these bags. Her cry is meaningful."
"She was crying because she spilled a whole coffee over/in her bag and her car," a fourth said.
This comes after the fashion retailer faced a fair bit of backlash in 2022, when they displayed an advert of children holding BDSM-themed teddy bears.

In a statement, Balencia admitted that the campaign was the 'wrong choice' and that 'we strongly condemn child abuse; it was never our intent to include it in our narrative'.

“We take full accountability for our lack of oversight and control of the documents in the background and we could have done things differently,” the statement continued.
“Balenciaga reiterates its sincere apologies for the offense we have caused and extends its apologies to talents and partners.”
