Brooke Hogan’s husband has made damming claims about her dad, Hulk, following his death.
Steven Oleksy claims the legendary wrestler had no interest in meeting his grandkids.
Brooke has been married to the former professional ice hockey player since 2022 and the pair welcomed their first kids together, twins, in January this year.
Over the years, it has long been said that the WWF star had a particularly strained relationship with his 37-year-old daughter, but she wrote on Instagram following his death that their ‘bond has never broken’.

With the cause of death recently noted as a heart attack by the medical examiner, Hulk died in hospital on 24 July, after emergency responders treated him at his Florida home for cardiac arrest. Oleksy says he and Brooke had moved to the state to be closer to the star, especially as he ‘was getting older.’
However, the sportsman says the grandad had no interest in meeting the twins, Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene.
He says he reached out to Hulk ‘about a month and a half after’ their birth.
“I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest,” Oleksy told People. He added that Brooke’s brother Nick said at one point that he and Hulk would come over to meet the babies, but never followed through.

Having moved to Florida together a while ago, he said his wife was ‘there for every surgery leading up to the last two years.’
“She would fly down on her own dime, take care of her dad, and it just made a lot of sense," Oleksy explained. “No one understood his body, procedures, medications and everything else more than my wife.”
However, Hulk and Brooke’s relationship apparently still fell apart.
Posting a lengthy statement following her dad’s death, she felt it ‘necessary to clear a few things up.’

Brooke said the pair didn’t ever have a ‘big fight’ and never ‘fought.’
“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she wrote. “My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed.”
Having wanted her there as much as possible, Brooke added: “Then all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries… everything started getting covered in a thick veil.
“It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through.”
Brooke said she ‘felt a disconnect’ and during the last two years ‘had to step away to protect my heart.’ She added that her husband ‘stayed open’, so he was there in case they wanted to repair the relationship.

“All I ever truly wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection,” she continued. “And for a few special years, I had that – with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed.”
