Hulk Hogan's daughter said she had a close relationship with her father, but was forced to distance herself from him in recent years.
The WWE Hall of Famer, real name Terry Bollea, suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Florida and was pronounced dead in hospital last week (24 July) at the age of 71.
Linda Hogan, who was married to Hulk from 1983 to 2009, filed for divorce shortly after Brooke's best friend Christiane Plante alleged that she had an affair with the wrestler. Christiane told the National Enquirer that she started seeing him 'at a time when [he] and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending'.
She insisted that Linda 'had left him already, although no official papers had been filed'.

“Having felt the guilt and pain build up, I gave a note to Brooke apologising for my actions,” Christiane said. “I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend.”
However, it appears that this isn't why she fell out with her father.

Brooke, now 37, has shut down claims from her mum when she previously said she stopped talking to her after getting into a 'fight' with Hulk eight years ago.

In a tribute post on social media, the TV personality - who starred in reality television show Hogan Knows Best from 2005 to 2007 - said the pair 'never had a big fight'.
"It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand," Brooke said.
On what the turning point was, she added: "We had been though almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries... everything started getting covered in a thick veil.
"What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me," the singer revealed, noting that she hadn't really spoke to him for the last two years.
Brooke reportedly won't inherit any of his $25 million fortune

It comes after TMZ reported that Brooke - who took her husband and former NHL star Steven Oleksy's last name - won't inherit any of his $25 million fortune.
A source told the outlet that she allegedly asked to be removed from his will in 2023 because 'she didn’t trust a single person around him, and didn’t want to get caught up in a financial battle when he passed'.
Although, they reported that Brooke will still receive money from a small life insurance trust she is a co-beneficiary of, and plans to put it toward her kids' college funds.
Adding to her tribute post, she said: "In the end, he continued to be a financial success for many. This was the last thing I wanted for him - he's been working and tearing his body apart his entire life."
LADbible Group has contacted Brooke Oleksy's representatives for comment.
