Jelly Roll reveals 'insane' side effects from quitting weed and he opens up on life after divorce from Bunnie Xo
Jelly Roll has opened up about the unexpected side effects of quitting marijuana while also addressing his divorce from Bunnie Xo.
In a recent YouTube vlog filmed during CMA Fest in Nashville, the country rapper, real name Jason DeFord, shared that giving up weed has triggered a series of withdrawal symptoms.
The singer admitted he had been experiencing vivid and ‘insane’ dreams every night since stopping cannabis, something he had not experienced while smoking.
He said: “I've been having gnarly dreams and I haven't been wrong about any. Ever since I quit smoking weed, I dream every night. Insane dreams. I didn't do that the first couple days.

“It's been three weeks. When's it going to stop?
“The first couple days I sweat through my comforters. What happened? That was the withdrawals.”
The singer explained that the amount of sweating made him realise just how heavily he had relied on marijuana.
Jelly Roll continued: “That's how much weed I smoked. I spent four days in a hotel sweating through the sheets, the whole comforters. I would have to wake up at four in the morning and lay my bed with towels.”
On what he said to Bunnie, Jelly Roll added: “I was like, ‘When is the last time I quit smoking weed?’ And she was like, ‘You started smoking two weeks later cuz you couldn't handle the dreams.’ Like, damn. I guess that's what's happening again.”
Away from his health struggles, Jelly Roll also addressed his divorce from Bunnie by putting her on loud speaker.
“All right, y'all. I told you I was going to give you all the piping hot tea about the divorce. I know y'all been waiting. Y'all been waiting. You ready for it?” Jelly Roll said, as Bunnie, who was on the phone, added: “All right, guys. Head over to my YouTube pod. Watch the divorce podcast and all of your questions will be answered.”
Jelly Roll then continued: “Yeah, y'all thought we were going to hate each other, didn't you? Plot twist, b**ches. Love you.”
“Love you,” Bunnie Xo replied.
The pair, who met in 2015 and got married a year later, have been open about their relationship in the past, having discussed private details of their life, as well as the impact that Jelly Roll's weight loss had on their sex life.
The rapper previously revealed why he cheated on her early in their marriage in an interview on the Human School Podcast.
"I don't talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife.
"Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back."
