Bunnie Xo speaks about affair 'betrayal' after finalising divorce from Jelly Roll
Bunnie Xo has opened up about the ‘betrayal’ she felt after her ex-husband Jelly Roll had an affair early in their marriage.
The couple announced their shock split back in June after almost a decade of marriage.
During their relationship, the pair had been incredibly candid about their ups and downs in their relationship, with Jelly Roll opening up about his past infidelity and how he put in a ‘lot of work’ to get things back on track.
However, in a new episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, Bunnie - real name Alisa DeFord -opened up about being cheated on, calling it a ‘different kind of hurt’.

“When I had gone through a situation with an affair, it’s not the act that hurts you,” she said while talking to Denise Richards.
“It’s the lies. It’s just, like, whiplash.”
Bunnie, who didn’t name her ex-husband, went on: “There’s no way to feel good about it. Betrayal trauma literally rewires your brain to not trust people, to just feel disgusting because you’re the last to know. Nobody ever wants to be the f**king last to know.”
In October last year, Jelly Roll - real name Jason Bradley DeFord - admitted that he cheated on his wife shortly after they tied the knot in 2016.
“I don’t talk about this publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he said during an appearance on the Human School podcast.
“I was hanging around a bunch of people that were cheating on their wives.”
He added: “And I wish our story would have went in the way that it never had an affair. And I'm in no way glad it happened, but man, I'm proud of who we are today."
Jelly Roll claimed the pair were 'stronger' than ever, but just a few months later it was announced that the couple were splitting up.
However, they remain on good terms.
When their split was first announced, Bunnie Xo called the country star her 'best friend', describing their ten years together as the 'coolest time of my life' on and episode of her podcast.
She also revealed that the pair were still going ahead with their plans to have a baby.
Days later, Jelly first spoke out about the split while performing at a gig in Saratoga Springs, New York. “Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends,” he said according to PEOPLE, adding: “She will probably be the only woman I’ll ever love the way I loved her.”
Bunnie's latest comments come after Jelly Roll revealed he would be taking a break from touring following their highly publicised split.
The musician shocked fans after announcing he would be taking a a hiatus from performing for at least a year during a concert at the Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“This has truly been a lifetime experience for me,” he told the audience, as reported in Country Now.
“And in a couple of nights, I go to Colorado Springs and do my last show for a year or two.”
