Jennifer Lopez has made a pretty harsh admission that sends quite a message to her ex.
Her ex and also her ex-ex, Ben Affleck (obviously). Oh, Bennifer, the celebrity couple that fans were all so excited to see reignite their relationship back in July 2021.
That romantic reunion came almost two decades after they called off their engagement in 2004, following almost two years together.
Lopez and Affleck married in Las Vegas in July 2022, and everyone seemed pretty happy about it. But, amid a whole load of rumours of separation and a cancelled tour, the âLetâs Get Loudâ singer filed for divorce in August 2024.

Snooping through court documents, it was eventually revealed that Bennifer had actually split well over a year prior, in April 2023.

Their divorce was finalised back in January and theyâve been spotted together a few times since, with it said theyâre remaining âon friendly termsâ.
And Lopez has now taken a bit of time to reflect on it all while dealing a bit of a blow to Affleck in the process.
Chatting with Lee Cowan on yesterdayâs (28 September) episode of CBS News Sunday Morning, the actor called the split and the personal insight she picked up during the whole situation âthe best thing that ever happened to meâ.
âBecause it changed me,â the 56-year-old explained. âIt helped me grow in a way that I needed to grow.â
Lopez is currently doing the rounds to promote her new musical film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in the same month she finalised her divorce from Affleck.
And working on that while dealing with everything going on in her personal life was a âreally tough timeâ for the âOn the Floorâ singer.

âEvery moment on set, every moment I was doing this role, I was so happy, and then it was like, back home, it was not great,â she recalled.
âAnd it was just like, oh, you know, âHow do I reconcile this?ââ
While it sounds like she might have been going through a bit of a nightmare, appearing in Kiss of the Spider Woman is pretty much a dream come true for Lopez as it marks her first time being in a movie musical.
During a Q&A back at Sundance, the âWaiting for Tonightâ singer said sheâd been âwaiting for this moment my whole lifeâ.
The film currently has a decent 83 percent from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and is set to release in October.
