A slew of Hollywood stars decided to hightail it out of the US after Donald Trump returned to the White House - and Jimmy Kimmel could be next to jump ship.
The late night talk show host, 57, revealed that he has secured his Italian citizenship due to the 'unbelievable' events which have unfolded since the President was sworn back in.
It's been more than 200 days since Trump was reinstated as commander-in-chief, and by god, he's done a lot in that time.
His policies haven't proved popular with a number of celebrities - but lucky for them, they've managed to obtain citizenship elsewhere thanks to their heritage.

Take Rosie O'Donnell for example, who previously explained she was 'in the process' of securing her residency in Ireland because her grandparents hail from there... and Trump then threatened to revoke her US one.

Although that's both illegal and unconstitutional, it seems that even famous faces with a lot more clout than the average person also wouldn't put anything past the President.
Then there's Kimmel, who has been personally called out by Trump at least a handful of times in the last few weeks alone.
First, the POTUS shared his glee about the cancellation of Stephen Colbert's late night show in a Truth Social post on 29 July - while also slipping in some jabs towards Kimmel and fellow TV star Jimmy Fallon.

Describing Kimmel as 'even less talented' than Colbert, Trump suggested that he would be the next presenter on the scrap heap.
The President then stuck to his guns when the topic reared its head once again during a press conference last Wednesday (6 August), telling reporters that both Jimmy's have had their day.

"Fallon has no talent," Trump said. "Kimmel has no talent. They’re next. They’re gonna be going. I hear they're going to be going..."
As you can see, the President has seriously been on the warpath... so you can't blame Kimmel for getting citizenship elsewhere, just in case.

The Brooklyn-born comedian announced that he had obtained it during a recent appearance on The Sarah Silverman Podcast.
The actress - who Kimmel dated from 2002 to 2009 - remarked that she knew 'a lot of people' who were thinking about if they could possibly secure their citizenship in another country.
Kimmel then chimed in saying: "I did get Italian citizenship...what’s going on is as bad as you thought it was gonna be."
And if you weren't clear, he's referencing Trump being in power.

"It’s so much worse - it’s just unbelievable," Kimmel continued. "I feel like it’s probably even worse than he would like it to be."
The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host is reported to have got his hands on his Italian citizenship earlier this year after proving his ancestral lineage, according to Italian news agency Ansa.
Kimmel discussed his family's ties to Italy at an Italian Republic Day event in Los Angeles back in June, telling the crowd that his grandfather's parents moved from the island of Ischia to New York in 1883.
"I have just obtained citizenship, thanks to my beloved grandmother Edith, whose family came from Candida, in the province of Avellino," the comedian said.
"She used to repeat to me, 'You have the brain of a hamster!'"
