Legendary tattoo artist Kat Von D converts to Christianity after renouncing witchcraft

She's recently been covering up some of her 'garbage, drunken tattoos'.

Kat Von D has made a name for herself by being one of the most recognisable tattoo artists in the world.

Her jet black hair, tattooed body and fierce talent has seen her branch out into also being a television personality, entrepreneur and recording artist.

However, she's recently been baptised and has converted to Christianity.

She has posted a video to her Instagram account showing friends gathering at a church for her baptism.

Kat was dressed in white for the ceremony as she was dunked into a pool of water to profess her faith.

The pastor said: "Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."

The 41-year-old was all smiles when she was brought back up and everyone erupted into applause for the recent convert.

It comes one year after the Mexican-American tattoo artist renounced witchcraft and her belief in the occult.

She posted on Instagram about how her views had started to change.

Kat wrote: "I don’t know if any of you have been going through changes in your lives right now, but in the last few years I’ve come to some pretty meaningful realizations — many of them revolving around the fact that I got a lot of things wrong in my past."

She explained how she had thrown out books and material that didn't align with her new beliefs.

"I’ve always found beauty in the macabre, but at this point, I just had to ask myself what is my relationship with this content?" she said.

"And the truth is, I just don’t want to invite any of these things into our family’s lives, even if it comes disguised in beautiful covers, collecting dust on my shelves.

"In no way is this post designed to put anyone down if you’re into this stuff, because I think we are all on our own journey, and I love everyone regardless of where they might be at.

"But right now, it’s never been more clear to me that there is a spiritual battle taking place, and I want to surround myself and my family with love and light.

"With that being said, I want to send extra love to everyone out there, and hope through some of these trying times, you are making meaningful changes in your life, too!"

She's also been covering up some of her tattoos, which she has found 'extremely refreshing'.

The designs have been replaced with solid, black ink because she feels it has 'sleekness and simplicity'.
