It sounds like Kat Von D never wants to get another tattoo after she got done covering her designs up.
She was the star of reality show LA Ink and got plenty of tattoos of her own, but a few years back, she started getting them blacked out as she explained that she got tired of the body designs.
"I personally grew tired of waking up to them, and seeing those constant reminders every time I looked in a mirror," Von D said of getting her tattoos covered up until there was just ink.
"Also, I really love the aesthetic," she said of opting for a blackout tattoo. "I know it's not for everyone but it is very satisfying to me to see a clean slate when I look down onto my arms."

She started with the ones on her forearm, but soon afterwards knew she'd be getting the rest of them covered up too.

Part of her motivation was 'never' wanting to pick up a tattoo gun again after getting involved in a legal battle when a college professor named Jeff Sedlik claimed she'd replicated a portrait he'd done of Miles Davis.
In the end, the jury sided with Kat, but she described the toll it took on her, saying: "I think I don’t want to ever tattoo again; my heart has been crushed through this in different ways."
Since making the decision to black out her tattoos in 2020, she's provided an update on her ink, saying it felt right to 'finally cover up so many of the tattoos I got back when I used to drink'.

She said she felt 'fed up' with her tattoos and last year explained to Inked Magazine that the process of covering them up had felt 'satisfying'.
In addition to getting most of them blacked out by now, she's also been getting some of them lasered off.
She posted on social media footage of a neck tattoo being removed, meaning she's spent more time dealing with them after 17 sessions and around 40 hours getting them covered up.
While she previously said she didn't want to get involved with tattoos again, she did say that 'we'll see with time' what will happen to her when it comes to a return to the parlour.

In another recent post on social media, her fans got to see how she was looking with the arm tattoos blacked out as she made a trip to Brooklyn and visited the Bone Museum.
