Katherine Ryan slams 'hypocrite' Thomas Skinner after star admitted to cheating on his wife just weeks after wedding

Katherine Ryan has revealed her thoughts on Thomas Skinner's affair after the Strictly star admitted to sleeping with someone shortly after marrying his wife.

The Apprentice star recently publicly fessed up to having an affair after his nuptials with Sinéad Chambers in 2022.

He said the ‘brief moment of madness’ was a huge regret of his but thankfully, he and his wife ‘moved forward together’.

The scandal comes just before Skinner is set to appear on the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Skinner and Chambers share three kids together, and the 34-year-old says he is now ‘being portrayed a public enemy number one’ because of his infidelity.

“My life ain’t perfect…..far from it. I’ve made big mistakes, I’ve let people down, and done things I’ll always regret in my past,” he wrote online.

Calling it the worst thing he’s ever done to his wife, he continued: “One stupid moment I’ll carry forever. It was nothing more and nothing less despite what is being said. I told her straight away. She had every right to leave me back then, but she forgave me…….and that forgiveness changed my life. Since then, we’ve built a new home, had two more beautiful children, and moved forward together. We are stronger. Family is everything to me. It’s what I do everything for.”

His recollection of what happened between himself and Amy Lucy O’Rourke, is a lot different than what she says occurred.

While Skinner says it was a one and done fling, she said it was a full-blown relationship that lasted three months.

In the midst of Skinner’s scandal, comedian Ryan has slammed the star, calling him a hypocrite.

On her podcast Telling Everybody Everything, she took issue with the words Skinner had used in his statements, particularly when he said it was ‘forgotten’ about.

She said: “It's false. It's ‘forgotten’ - ‘forgotten’ is such really inflammatory term for me.

“I think that for him, it seems forgotten, she forgave him and his life carried on as far as he's concerned... I promise you, your wife has not forgotten.”

She went on to say his wife was 'vulnerable' when the affair took place, as they had just gotten married and she was raising three small kids.

She continued: “There's also the layer of shame. A lot of women in this scenario absorb a man's shame as their own.

“This woman's young, she loves him. It's so complex when you're betrayed like that, especially when it comes out of absolutely nowhere. You think you're in a good relationship. He said himself, we weren't arguing.”

She also took aim at O’Rourke, calling her a 'sl*g’.

But she noted: “The wife doesn't have a contract with this woman. It's not her responsibility.

“She may not have behaved in the right way - a sl*g - but it's smart, if you think about it, to like enjoy these men for what they're worth.

“And not be the wife at home who's crying, who's having to like hide from her friends what has happened and her whole life is in upheaval and then she's forced to forgive someone who was on The Apprentice 20 years ago.

“And he's like, ‘it's forgotten.’ I promise you, your wife has not forgotten.”

Branding him a ‘hypocrite’ for cheating whilst promoting his ‘Conservative values’, Ryan was clearly not letting him get away with his cheating.

As for O’Rourke, she claimed in an interview with the Daily Mail that her secret relationship wasn’t a happy time for her, and she has 'receipts' to prove what he 'put her through'.
