Peter Andre and Katie Price issue joint statement following years long feud

Last summer, Peter Andre did a rare thing in publicly hitting out at ex-wife Katie Price.

The pair divorced back in 2009 and share two children, Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.

But after the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer spoke out against ‘repeated lies’ from the Pricey, the pair have now issued a joint statement putting a stop to these kind of antics.

Yep, it seems they're ending the documentation of their years long feud as they spoke about putting their kids at the heart of it all.

Some have speculated that this statement is to quieten down rumours of family tension, after Price’s recent shock ‘marriage’ to a self-proclaimed multi-millionaire businessman, Lee Andrews. There are rumours that those close to her were said to be ‘blindsided’ by, said to have come weeks after the split from her boyfriend of two years, MAFS UK's JJ Slater.

But whatever the reason for it, it’s a big move for Andre and Price to be calling somewhat of a truce after all these years.

Posted on both of their Instagram Stories, the statement reads: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect.

“We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.”

The stars explained that they have both ‘legally and personally’ came to a ‘mutual agreement’ that neither of them will ‘speak negatively about the other going forward’.

“This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability,” they continue.

“We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”

Concluding this, the pair say they are asking for: “Understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”

Since their four-year marriage came to an end, Price married Alex Reid in 2010 and Kieran Hayler in 2013. She has also had publicised engagements with Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods.

Price is also mum to Harvey, 23, Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11.

In 2015, Andre married Emily MacDonagh and they share three kids, Amelia, 12, Theo, eight, and baby, Arabella.

Last August, he took to social media to say he had ‘stayed silent’ for 16 years in the face of ‘repeated lies’ from Price and her family, which had been ‘incredibly frustrating’.

He concluded at the time: “Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations that I have yet to address. Those will be dealt with in the coming months.”
