Keanu Reeves’ partner Alexandra Grant has given a rare insight into her relationship with the Hollywood star.
The 59-year-old John Wick star and artist Grant, 50, prefer to keep their relationship firmly out of the limelight - so much so that it isn’t even clear when they started dating.
The couple worked together on 2011 book Ode to Happiness and are believed to have struck up a friendship that eventually developed into a romance.
They went public with their relationship in 2019, but in 2020 actor Jennifer Tilly revealed that they’d actually been seeing each other quite a bit longer than that.

"I remember a couple years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Grant] said, ‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?’” Tilly recalled to Page Six.
"It’s really astonishing to me how in the last five months, all of a sudden, she goes to an event with him and everybody goes insane."
On Friday (22 September) Grant attended the Los Angeles Beverly Arts Icon Awards, where she was being honoured, and brought her supportive boyfriend along with her to walk the red carpet.
When asked by People how it felt to walk a red carpet alongside her mega-famous partner, Grant replied: “The good news about falling in love as an adult is that I had built my own career by the time that my relationship had begun.
“I feel very confident in the relationship on the red carpet. I feel confident on it alone.”
Grant also gushed about her ‘creative’ and ‘kind’ boyfriend, saying he is ‘such an inspiration’.
She continued: “In a moment of frustration in my life, I once said, 'Sometimes I feel like a Maserati stuck in traffic,' that I have this big engine, but, for a variety of reasons, that I couldn't ever go.
“And I know a lot of people feel frustrated in their lives, that they're not able to run their engine. I think every creative person feels that way.'
“What I love about Keanu and our exchange is that we're pushing each other to build new roads,' she gushed. 'Seeing the other person's problem-solving is inspiring, like, 'Oh, well, okay, this one, that's a cul-de-sac. How do I try this other thing?' “He's such an inspiration to me. He's so creative, he's so kind. He works so hard.”
She also took time to praise his band Dogstar - who recently put on a live show, which Grant attended.
“I'm really proud,” she said. “I am a huge Dogstar fan.”
