Kim Kardashian furious with security guard after he steps on dress at Met Gala in awkward footage

Kim Kardashian almost went viral for all the wrong reasons as she was left red-faced before arriving at the Met Gala on Monday night (5 May).

The reality TV star could be seen attempting an action film-esque 'slow-mo' walk on the way to her vehicle with her daughter, North West, which was bound for the fashion event, when cameras caught her gesturing at a security guard.

It's fair to say that a spanner was thrown into the works with her dramatic attempts for the cameras, as Kardashian almost had a tumble as her dress was accidentally trod on by a security guard.

He had accidentally stepped on it while walking past and trying to keep the paparazzi away.

Kim K could then be seen turning and saying something to him before holding her hand up with an annoyed expression plastered across her face.

The Skims founer then flicked her hair back while continuing towards the vehicle.

The video was quickly posted to TikTok, where it went viral and fans shared their thoughts on the exchange.

Fans on social media shared what they thought of the clip, with one writing: "It’s the hair flick for me like boy don’t mess this up for me."

Another added: "Someone almost made her fall. She looks amazing!"

Some users pointed out that it looked like North 'doesn’t want to be there' based on her body language and expression.

However, the 11-year-old donned a stylish outfit and even posted TikToks with her mum before leaving for the event.

North wasn't at the Met Gala itself though, as there is a strict 18 and over policy for guests at the event.

Kardashian's outfit featured a long leather bodycon dress, as well as a large fedora designed by Chrome Hearts.

Guests flooded the blue carpet showing their iterations of this year's theme of 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style', focusing on the role of clothing and style in shaping Black identities.

Chosen by Anna Wintour, it was the first time in over 20 years that the fashion event focused on menswear in particular.

Kardashian's outfit seamlessly fit in with the theme, as it looked to be inspired by zoot suit outfits donned by Black men throughout the 1930s and 1940s.

As well as the ensemble, the star could be seen with worn down raven-coloured locks, and wore numerous diamond necklaces which could be seen down her chest, accompanied by matching dangling earrings.
