PETA has spoken out after catching wind of Kim Kardashian's Christmas presents for her children.
The reality TV star has four children, North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, seven, and Psalm, six, all of whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West.
The billionaire, who heads up Skims and SKKN by Kim, took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of the four Pomeranian puppies she'd gotten for her children this festive season, proudly captioning the snap: "Each kid got a puppy."
Two of the dogs sported dark fur, while one was a lighter brown, and the fourth had cream-coloured fur. These aren't the family's first dogs, as Kim also has two Pomeranians, Sushi and Sake, that she adopted in 2017 with her sister Kourtney Kardashian.

While it looked like a wholesome moment at first, PETA didn't praise the reality TV star's actions.

Ingrid Newkirk is the aforementioned CEO of the animal rights nonprofit organisation and has criticised Kardashian via a statement shared with People on Sunday (28 December).
It read: "Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that.
"[They can] try to make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter or paying for a local shelter adopt-a-thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis."
She further noted that Kim's sister, Khloé Kardashian, has also gifted a dog to her family for the festive season, saying to 'call PETA or a local shelter the next time' if they want to add another pooch to their growing family.

Khloé shared snaps of a black Labrador retriever puppy on her own social media accounts on Christmas Day. The posts on her Instagram Stories show the puppy in a festive bow with a name tag that reads 'Peppermint'.
"I am going to cry, she’s the best in the world," Khloé wrote, while also tagging the breeder in her comment.
She shared more photos of the dog next to her kids, True and Tatum's, plush toys, as she wrote: "I am not ok right now. This maybe my gift because I could cry @bigcreeklabradors, she is the sweetest soul ever!!!!!"
The Kardashians star had previously revealed that her kids had asked for a dog from Santa Claus in a letter which read: "Dear Santa, please can I have a real puppy. I want a black lab."

Neither Kim nor Khloé have responded to the statement from the animal rights organisation.
They aren't the first pets in the Kardashian-Jenner family, though; Kim and her children have famously kept lizards as pets over the years.
The wider family have also had dogs, cats, horses and reptiles over their years in the spotlight, with many likely remembering Kylie Jenner's hilarious moment where she called a teacup pig a 'chicken'.
