What Liam Neeson said about dating after his wife’s tragic death amid rumours he’s dating Pamela Anderson
Liam Neeson has been linked to dating rumours for the first time in years as murmurs have emerged that he is dating his The Naked Gun co-star Pamela Anderson.
Neeson and Anderson star in the rebooted version of the Leslie Nielsen classic comedy, co-starring as love interests in the film.
The pair have sparked dating rumours due in part to their cosy looks on red carpets, leading to a great deal of speculation that the two had sparked up a romance on set.
Neeson has not been romantically linked to anyone for over a decade, due in part to his wife’s tragic death in 2009.

Neeson was married to fellow celebrity and acclaimed actress Natasha Richardson, the mother to his two sons Micheál and Daniel, until her death aged 45.

Neeson and Richardson met in 1993 when they worked together on a Broadway play before marrying in 1994.
Richardson was herself a rather successful actor, starring in such films as The Parent Trap, The Handmaid’s Tale and Asylum.
She was also a Broadway star, winning a Tony award for her part in Cabaret.
The actor died in 2009 following a head injury while on a skiing trip in Quebec.
Neeson said that her death was a ‘horrible thing to happen’, with her son Micheál later taking her last name instead of Neeson’s to honour his mother.
What Neeson said about dating after Richardson’s death
Neeson has only dated one person since Richardson’s death, a UK-based public relations executive Freya St. Johnston, whom he dated for two years.
Prior to meeting Richardson he had dated multiple other celebs, most notably Helen Mirren, Brooke Shields and Barbra Streisand.
He spoke about dating in an interview with People, stating that it wasn’t particularly something on the cards for him.
He said when asked if he dates: “No, in a word. I’m past all that.”

Fans online have been speculating however that Neeson is back dating once again due to his closeness with Pamela Anderson, his The Naked Gun co-star.
Neeson heaped praise on Anderson when asked about working with her, saying to People magazine: “With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her.
“She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you.
“She’s funny and so easy to work with.”
Anderson also said that Neeson was ‘the perfect gentleman’.
Neeson has also joked that his sex scene with Anderson in The Naked Gun was so 'hot' that the intimacy coordinator fled the scene, saying: "I can't take this! This is too hot for me. I'm going for coffee."
With fans unsure if the pair are playing to the cameras to promote their new movie or if they actually have a romantic spark, body language expert Judi James weighed on during an interview with the Daily Mail.
She said: "There is clearly some 'chemistry' between the couple, which is apparent from the facial feature softening as they perform mutual eye-gaze.
"But there is also an air of mutual respect, too, that comes with some break-outs of polite rather than sensual behaviors.
"The poses we see are still mainly in response to requests from the photographers. When we see the couple posing with their children though the flirt rituals seem to stop."
The Naked Gun releases in cinemas in the UK August 1.
