Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson give telling answer when asked if dating as they attend premiere together

The pair star in a new comedy film out Friday

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson gave a telling answer when asked if they were dating.

Rumours of a romance between the pair have quickly heated up following the New York premiere of The Naked Gun on Monday (28 July).

The former Playboy star gave the Taken actor a kiss on the cheek at the London premiere, and they really leaned into the speculation by pretending to be getting off with one another on live TV yesterday.

Anderson and Neeson first met on the set of the comedy film (set to release in cinemas this Friday), and quickly found they had a ‘chemistry’.

And Today show host Craig Melvin couldn’t help but comment on the pair’s real-life sparks as he asked: “What’s the deal here? You’re both single right now. There’s clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?”

Anderson, who has been married five times, divorced from her husband Dan Hayhurst in 2022.

Neeson married Natasha Richardson in 1994 who he was with until she died after a traumatic brain injury in 2009, and previously said he's ‘past all of that’ in regard to dating.

Responding to Melvin, Anderson said she didn’t ‘understand the question’ as her co-star said: “Look, I had never met Pamela before, we met on set and we discovered we had a lovely budding chemistry – as two actors.”

He said it was ‘nice’ and they decided: “Let’s not mould this. Let’s just let it breathe.”

During an appearance on this morning’s Heart Breakfast, host Zoe Hardman asked Anderson if she knew Neeson ‘was attached to it’ when she was auditioning for The Naked Gun.

“Of course,” she responded. “I fought for it.”

Her co-star also revealed they spent some time together before they began filming for the comedy.

“We had a couple of meals, Pamela’s an extraordinary baker and cook. She made me a beautiful sourdough bread and muffins,” Neeson explained.

Anderson added: “Birthday cake. Cookies. You know it’s my happy place. I like to cook and it’s very therapeutic. So, we were in Atlanta and I thought, 'perfect, I can test it on Liam'.”

Either leaning into those relationship rumours, being quite sweet, or simply just doing the thing to promote their film, Neeson even said that ‘eating her bread’ is definitely ‘on the list’ for his happy place.

Earlier this month, Anderson told Entertainment Weekly: “I think I have a friend forever in Liam.

“We definitely have a connection that is very sincere, very loving. He's a good guy."
