Lil Nas X reportedly hospitalised after being found wandering the streets

Rapper Lil Nas X has reportedly been hospitalised in Los Angeles after being found wandering the streets in his underwear.

According to a report from TMZ, the 26-year-old rapper - real name Montero Lamar Hill - was spotted walking down a main street in Los Angeles in the early hours of the morning, wearing only his underwear and cowboy boots.

Multiple images and videos were captured by witnesses, with Hill heard talking about going to a 'party' and singing while walking down the street.

"Hey, don't be late to the party tonight," tells the individual recording him, later adding: "Didn't I tell you to put the phone down... Uh-oh, somebody's going to have to pay for that!"

At one point, the 'Old Town Road' hitmaker could even be seen walking around with a traffic cone placed on his head.

A report from NBC Los Angeles adds that the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning (21 August).

Police were subsequently called to the area by concerned locals, with Hill reportedly charging at officers.

He was then arrested and later transported to hospital.

An unnamed source from the Los Angeles Police Department has added to NBC Los Angeles that Hill is expected to face charges of battery against a police officer after allegedly throwing punches at law enforcement in attendance.

The news comes several months after Hill revealed that he'd been hospitalised after losing control of one side of his face.

"Soooo lost control of the right side of my face," he posted on Instagram, alongside a clip of himself attempting to smile."

"When I smile, this is me doing a full smile right now by the way… it’s like, what the f**k. I can’t even laugh right, bro," he continued.

"What the f**k! Oh my God. So… oh my God, bro. So… yeah."

The rapper was reportedly scheduled to release his second album Dreamboy at some point later this year, with lead single 'Light Again' coming out at the end of last year.
