Margot Robbie faked her own death to terrorise a babysitter she didn't like

Margot Robbie faked her own death to terrorise a babysitter she didn't like

The Barbie star said she got her hands on a bottle of tomato sauce and smothered it all over herself.

It seems Margot Robbie has always possessed great acting chops, as the star has revealed she faked her own death when she was younger.

She sat down with BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show along with her Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling and admitted the stunt came up to get revenge on a babysitter she didn’t like.

“We got a new babysitter and I wanted my old babysitter back, Talia, who was like 16 and I thought she was so cool,” Robbie said.

“We got this much older lady in and I was just not happy about it, and she told me to go have a bath and I didn’t want to and she was very cranky and I thought, ‘I’m going to show you.’”

The Wolf of Wall Street star said that she proceeded to get her hands on a bottle of tomato sauce, which she smothered all over herself.

The actor then laid down for the babysitter to find her ‘dead’ on the bathroom tiles.

And, just for extra finesse, Robbie grabbed a knife and placed it next to her to stage a picture-perfect crime scene.

“I waited like 45 minutes for her to find me,” she added.

“But it was worth the wait.”

However, the pranks didn’t stop there.

The 33 year old also said that when she was younger, she had attempted a ‘pratfall’ at the cinema in her local shopping centre.

“People called an ambulance. So I guess I was a bit of a dramatic child,” she said.

During the Barbie press tour, it’s quite clear the Aussie is a bit of a jokester.

She revealed the stunt she pulled to get the cast and crew in the pink spirit while shooting the flick centred around the Mattel toy.

One day, she sent a memo declaring that everyone on set should dress in accordance with the film’s colour scheme.

Robbie was quick to notice people were hesitant, so she took matters into her own hands.

“I decorated their truck for them, since they weren’t getting in the pink spirit,” she told BBC’s The One.

“I snuck off and covered the whole thing in pink streamers and glitter and everything.

“They got on board after that.”

And so did the rest of the world.
